What to do when Kindle is not downloading ebooks from Amazon account

Kindle is an amazing device by Amazon Inc. It lets you read your loved books anytime from anywhere without carrying them. If you travel a lot and don’t want to miss your love of reading books, kindle is the perfect device you should have with you always. It’s very small just like any tablet that you can carry with you virtually anywhere. These days Kindles are very powerful and lets you do many things on single device. Now can save your document and browse internet on the same device thus you do not need to carry any other tablet with you. You can also use your Kindle device to send and receive emails from several email providers like Gmail and Yahoo.

Now consider the situation, you are travelling abroad and your Kindle won’t download your newly purchased books from your Amazon account. This might be very frustrating for you as you cannot read your books without downloading them from Amazon server. This is nothing but a small technical glitch that can be fixed easily. Just follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Just push the power button for 40 seconds, during this process screen might go blank, which is normal, keep holding the power button. Release the power button after 40 seconds and your Kindle will restart. This is also called as soft re-set. Now check if you are able to download books, if not continue to next step.

Step 2: You need to disconnect your Kindle device from the wireless network, connect it again and try to sync with Amazon server manually. This will fix the internet connectivity issues if any. Sometimes your Kindle device might not be able to automatically download books from Amazon servers thus you need to do a manual sync.

Step 3: If the above steps doesn’t solve your problem, you need to visit your Amazon account online then go to “Manage Your Content and Devices” page. From there go to “Your Content” tab, now select the book that you want to download and use the action button, choose “Deliver” option from the drop-down list.

Step 4: If you are still not able to download books on your Kindle device then you can download the books on your PC or Mac and transfer them to your Kindle device via USB cable. USB cable is the same that you might be using to charge your Kindle. Just unplug it from the charger and connect your kindle with your computer.

You can also try de-registering your Kindle device from Amazon account and registering it again. This will fix most of the problems you might have on your Kindle. If you still face same problem, you should contact kindle support immediately to fix the issue. It might be possible that your Amazon account might not be working properly or you might have problem with payment method.
